What the weather is like
May is warm and almost dry, with afternoons around 24°C and nights about 15°C. Rain is very rare.
This is when Agadir’s well-known morning sea fog becomes common. Cool ocean air brings low cloud over the coast early in the day. It usually burns off by late morning, giving way to clear sunshine.
The sea reaches about 19°C, and swells are smaller, with good conditions for beginner surfers.
What to pack
Summer clothes, a light layer for mornings and evenings, sun cream and a hat. A 3/2 wetsuit for surfing.
What to do
Beach days from late morning, surf lessons in Tamraght, sunset at the Kasbah, dinner at the marina.
Local tips
Plan indoor or shaded activities for grey mornings and beach time for the afternoon.
